The study centre is located on the edge of the village of Glinado on the
beautiful and historic island of Naxos, the largest of the Cycladic islands. It
is a ten-minute drive from Chora, the island's capital, and has magnificent
views over the Livadia Plain and the mountains of Paros, separated from
one another by a narrow strait of the Aegean Sea.
It is capable of accommodating up to twelve students and two teachers, and
is equipped with excellent domestic and recreational facilities, a wellstocked
library, and indoor and outdoor teaching spaces. Its beautiful
grounds are partly cultivated with olives and vines.
The study of the Ancient World and the language, literature, history and art
of Greece and Rome is enhanced by the Centre's proximity to a wealth of
places of related cultural interest - Delos, Santorini, and the classical and
Byzantine monuments of Naxos itself.
